On an introductory day you will be able to learn some basic Shiatsu techniques, and begin to understand how Shiatsu works and what benefits can be gained through Shiatsu treatments.

The course will run subject to numbers. Refreshments are available during the day but you will need to make your own arrangements for lunch.

The Shiatsu Society

The Shiatsu Society was set up in 1981 and acts as an umbrella organisation for anyone interested in Shiatsu. The Society is the professional body for practitioners of Shiatsu in the United Kingdom.

It holds a register of qualified members who have passed the Society's independent assessment. Qualified members of the Society may use the initials M.R.S.S. The Northern School of Shiatsu is ratified by the Shiatsu Society, and diploma students are required to join the Society.
