Year One 2010-2011
Each weekend will include review of the Five Element theory
in relation to the elements.
There will also be time for practice treatments on each
other.
A range of self development exercises will be covered
each weekend. These will include Makko-ho stretches, Do-In exercises,
breathing and meditation exercises plus any exercises individual teachers
may include.

INTRODUCTION

- Ethics and code of conduct,
- Contra-indications,
- Theory of Yin and Yang,
- Principles of Zen Shiatsu,
- Practice-touch, positioning, work in prone position
WEEKEND 2-
REVIEW
2nd/3rd October 2010
- Anatomy- Anatomical planes and sections, terms of positions,
- Introduction to four methods of diagnosis,
- Theory of Ki,
- Practical homework requirements-25 treatments,
- Communication and listening skills,
- Practice in prone position.
WEEKEND 3-
METAL
30th/31st October 2010
- Anatomy-Structure of cells,
- Introduction to Five Element Theory,
- Classical meridians; location of Lung and Large Intestine meridians
and relevant points,
- Zang Fu theory of the organs.
WEEKEND 4-
EARTH
4th/5th December 2010
- Anatomy-Skeletal system,
- Develop work in supine position,
- Classical meridians; location of Stomach and Spleen meridians and
relevant points,
- Zang Fu theory of the organs.

meridians and relevant points,

- Develop work in side position,
